Personas

Personas are useful in helping to guide decisions about a service, product or interaction space such as features, interactions, and visual design of a website.

Personas are fictional but represented user archetypes. They are created in order to illustrate to stakeholders and the broader design team who might use the intended website or product.

For each website, application or service, typically 3-5 personas are created. Each persona represents the behaviour patterns, goals, skills, attitudes, and environment of an archetypal user.
