Chris and I worked together in the same design team over a two year period on various different projects. He is a top tier designer and is able to effortlessly navigate the complex business environment to drive out user desires, resulting in fine-tuned user experiences across all of his solutions.
Chris is the epitome of a gifted presenter as he eloquently explains his design rationale to stakeholders, using the same techniques to delicately listen and concept test his solutions with end users which consistently produced clear and understandable research. It’s easy to see that he puts his massive amount of freelance experience into practice when effectively managing multiple requirements, stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to produce positive design artifacts.
Aside from conquering daily design work, he also has a strong talent in looking far forward and large-scale UX strategies. His valuable creative insights have assisted many varied areas across the bank and set an important design criterion which will be used across many future applications. Evangelising the word of UX has resulted in core principles of quality design being instilled across the organisation to ensure that user needs will constantly be paramount – such a refreshing change working within a large corporation!
But most of all, he’s a great guy to work with and brings a real positive energy to the design team! I do hope to work with Chris again and have no doubt that he’ll bring massive success to his future ventures.
